Book your place on the Public Engagement session on Wednesday, 21 May
Our Social Responsibility and Civic Engagement information sessions for colleagues continue with a focus on public engagement at our University.
Public engagement – what, why, how will take place online on Wednesday 21 May at 12pm.
Chaired by Dr Julian Skyrme, Executive Director of Social Responsibility and Civic Engagement, the session will feature inspiring examples of public engagement shared by academic colleagues.
This 45-minute online session will provide you with an opportunity to:
- learn about the principles for meaningful public engagement;
- find out more about a variety of initiatives from across the University that support our public engagement aims;
- get some tips on how you can start to get involved in public engagement;
- hear how our social responsibility and civic engagement strategy and public engagement framework results in real actions and impact regionally, nationally and internationally.
We will share three cases around the theme of ways to engage.
The content will be useful to anyone who wishes to find out more about the opportunities and impact of our public engagement activities, the key people behind their delivery, and our plans for the future.
Who should attend??
These online sessions are aimed at all staff and students who are interested in how our University is making a positive difference to society and the environment through our social responsibility, civic engagement and public engagement activities.
