How to fund stand-alone evidence synthesis projects with the National Institute for Health Research
Host: Faculty of Medical and Human Sciences
About the event:
This is a jointly-hosted afternoon by the Evidence Synthesis Network and the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Research Design Service North West (RDS NW).
The session will be aimed primarily at researchers who are considering an application for grant funding to conduct a stand-alone evidence synthesis project. Speakers will give the perspective of Board members and applicants for the NIHR Health Services and Delivery Research (HS&DR) and the NIHR Health Technology Assessment (HTA) programmes. Similarities and differences in the expectations of these programmes will be discussed.
Health researchers from across the North West are welcome to attend this free event.
Lunch will be available. Please note: booking is essential for catering purposes.
The programme will conclude with a brief presentation on how the Research Design Service NW can help, and at the close of the seminar there will be an optional ‘Ask the Adviser’ session – an opportunity for researchers who would like to discuss individual research proposals with RDS NW advisers.
