Title: Some uniform effective André-Oort results
Abstract: Pila's proof of André-Oort implies that the special points lying on a hypersurface X \subset C^n are bounded by an ineffective constant which depends only on the degree of X and the degree of a field of definition for X. This constant may be made effective for certain families of hypersurfaces, at the cost of introducing a dependence on the height of X. In this talk, I will discuss some bounds which are both effective and uniform in the height for hypersurfaces corresponding to sums of powers equations in C^n.
