Join us for an incredible fusion of art and research…
Art Battle Manchester has joined forces with The University of Manchester to create a trail of artworks inspired by research from Healthier Futures, Digital Futures, Creative Manchester and Sustainable Futures.
If you’ve ever wondered about the University’s research, why it’s essential and how it helps our wider community, let four of the UK’s top street artists show you. You’ll have the opportunity to meet the artists creating bespoke pieces in front of your eyes – bringing to life the essence and impact of the University’s research platforms.
The pieces, created over the festival weekend, form part of a larger project exploring the historical role of street art and how the University’s research platforms can combine their work with street artists and local communities to develop effective communication methods and continue strengthening local links.
And that’s not all – you can unleash your inner artist by trying your hand at your very own street art on our trail. There’ll be a series of free drop-in workshops throughout Saturday, so release your inner Banksy and get creative with sprays and stencils.
