Title: Classifying intrinsic ergodicity for random substitution systems
Abstract: Classifying the measures of maximal entropy for a given dynamical system is an important problem in ergodic theory. In particular, one is often interested in whether the system is intrinsically ergodic, that is, whether there is a unique measure of maximal entropy. In this talk, I will discuss some recent classification results in this direction for dynamical systems arising from random substitutions, which are a generalisation of classical substitution systems and provide theoretical models for quasicrystals with local defects. Based on joint work with Philipp Gohlke.
