13th Annual Rylands Poetry Reading: Lorna Goodison
Join us for an evening of poetry at The John Rylands Library. This year’s Rylands Poetry Reading will be given by Lorna Goodison.
Born in Jamaica, Lorna Goodison has won numerous awards for her writing in both poetry and prose. Her work has been included in major anthologies and collections over the past 25 years, and has been translated into many languages.
She is Lemuel A. Johnson Professor of English and African and Afroamerican Studies at the University of Michigan.
There will be a drinks reception from 5.30pm, the poetry reading starts at 6pm.
