This Urban Futures East-West Forum follows the ‘Envision-MCR’ midsummer session on ‘strategic research-policy pathways’ for the next 10-20 years.
We start with an east-west urban futures exchange, with visitors from ‘CASTED’ (Chinese Academy of Science and Technology for Development). This provides a bigger picture on the Manchester city-region, as a laboratory for urban innovation both local and global. We then explore the key research-policy pathways – ‘citizen/ship, local/ity, place-wise, value-wise’ – and how they can be mobilized.
