Title: Infinite discrete cluster categories and the index
Abstract: The “cluster category” is a categorification of the cluster algebra, which has opened the door to a vast and growing branch of the theory of cluster algebras. To de-categorify, one uses so-called “cluster characters” and the “index” is a tool that helps in constructing such characters. In type A, the cluster category has a very nice geometric model. These models were pushed to the infinite by Igusa–Todorov (2015) when they introduced their discrete cluster categories, and these were more recently “completed” by Paquette–Yildirim (2021). In this talk, I’ll show how extriangulated categories (a relatively new axiomatised structure) can be used to push the index to the infinite, which we hope will help to define corresponding cluster algebras and characters.
