On behalf of the NIHR Patient Safety Research Collaboration (PSRC) Network, we are delighted to invite you to join us for our first NIHR SafetyNet Symposium, taking place in Manchester on 17 October 2025. This one-day event will bring together leading voices in patient safety research from across the country for a rich and engaging programme of insightful talks and research showcases, centred on the theme: Tackling Inequities in Patient Safety.
Hosted by Greater Manchester PSRC, the day will feature keynote speeches from:
- Dr Rosie Benneyworth, Chief Executive Officer of the Health Services Safety Investigations Body (HSSIB)
- Prof Dawn Edge, Professor of Mental Health & Inclusivity at the University of Manchester.
The programme will also include:
- Presentations from the six PSRCs, showcasing key findings and highlighting new research underway.
- Poster presentations highlighting innovative and inclusive research from across SafetyNet.
- Networking opportunities throughout the day – over tea, coffee and lunch!
By attending, you will have valuable opportunities to engage with national patient safety leaders and strengthen collaborations across the NIHR PSRC Network.
