We are pleased to invite you to attend From Clinic to Curriculum: Preparing Healthcare Students for AI-Enabled Practice, which will take place on Thursday 8 October, 10:00am-1:00pm in the Emmeline Suite, Pankhurst Building. The event is aimed at programme leads and educators from healthcare programmes across the University, alongside invited student representatives.
Artificial intelligence is increasingly shaping healthcare delivery, from clinical documentation and decision support to patient care and service transformation. As educators, we have an important role in ensuring that our graduates are prepared to work confidently, safely and critically within an AI-enabled healthcare environment. The purpose of this event is to explore how AI is currently being used in clinical practice and to consider the implications for healthcare education and curriculum design.
The session will bring together clinicians, educators and students and will include:
• A panel discussion on how generative AI and ambient voice technologies are being used in clinical practice.
• A discussion exploring governance, assurance, accountability, bias and trust in AI-enabled healthcare.
• Interactive roundtable discussions focused on the knowledge, skills and educational approaches needed to prepare future healthcare professionals for AI-enabled care.
