Exhibition: Housing with care and creativity with older LGBTQ people
This exhibition is the outcome of a 10-month research project which aimed to better understand older LGBTQ people’s experiences of housing with care. The project observed the process of co-designing Kindred House, an extra-care housing scheme developed through a collaboration between a community steering group, Manchester City Council, Great Places Housing Group, and the LGBT Foundation. The project also co-developed a number of creative methods to better understand these experiences.
This exhibition features panels illustrated by Manchester artist Len Grant as part of workshops run with project participants.
The Samuel Alexander Building is open to external visitors 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday. Exhibiting until 30 September.
When entering from the South Foyer, the space is step-free throughout and wheelchair accessible.
